The Kent Area of the British Caravanners Club (BCC) consists of a membership of 50 or so regular Caravanners of all ages and who come from all walks of life, some of whom camp most weekends, others just pop out 3 or 4 times a year.
We have a very good youth following and with the aid of our Youth Leader try to teach them the basics of good camping as well as having fun. After they reach 12 years old they can take the Camping Club Youth test which enables them to be members in their own right and attend C.C.Y. rallies without their parents.
We have many more members who join through our parent club The Camping and Caravanning Club, but sadly most of whom do not attend our weekend rallies and do not know what they are missing out on.
For most weekends and for a couple of weeks at holiday times we can be found enjoying the Kentish countryside, staying at farms and places of interest throughout Kent.
The Camping and Caravanning Club has many special interest sections such as ourselves, Motor home section, Canoe group and Folk group to name but a few.
As well as these our parent club (The Camping and Caravanning Club) is split into Regions and smaller groups called District Associations (DA's) there are two of these in Kent alone.
All members of the "The Camping and Caravanning Club" are automatically members of their local DA, but can attend any DA rally in the country, and they are invited to most of the section rallies to "try them out" to see if perhaps they might like to join that section and broaden their possibilities for camping. Most of the Special interest sections charge a nominal £3 or £4 per year extra membership fee, but for this you will receive information on that sections rallies throughout the country, and be able to attend any of them.
Our sites are often quite basic with only fresh water and toilet emptying facilities available, but having said that most modern caravans are equipped with hot and cold running water, modern chemical toilets, 12 volt lighting and showers. Sites can vary from public places like Chatham Historical Dockyard, Port Lympne Zoo, Whitbread Hop Farm to name but a few, (where we are often able to negotiate a concession on admission), to simple privately run farms and country estates.
Wherever we go we are able to call upon resources like Sports Equipment, A large Marquee, Generators and Music equipment, all owned by our section to put on our own entertainment's like Discos, Dances, Quizzes, etc. even in the middle of a Farmers field.
So if you own a caravan why not pick a weekend from those that are on our website and come along, or contact us,

Whether you join in the weekend activities or not we are sure that you will soon  discover that we live up to our title of:-

THE FRIENDLY CLUB
